Hitchcock would be proud, I'm sure...

There are so many birds here! Even in my small corner of NYC (Washington Square Park in NoHo), the birds are everywhere: under park benches, on the park sidewalks, flying straight at people... Despite posted signs prohibiting the feeding of pigeons and other birds, there are plenty of hungry birds that hover around, because they know some soft-hearted soul will share their food. They stare at people with their beady little eyes, just pleading for any crumbs. I try to ignore them and eat my deli sandwiches in peace, but being watched while I'm eating is a little unnerving. The photo here is what happens when you feed the birds. Seriously.

All right, you rotten little beggars, I need to eat too. Don't you dare dive-bomb me because I didn't share my food with you!
