Coining a new word

Here's a new word for you:

HOL-I-CIDE (noun): The uncontrollable urge to strangle someone in a holiday-related temporary madness.

My first soon-to-be-victim: The street musician who's playing Christmas tunes on his clarinet below my office building. Word around the office is that one of our editors actually paid him last year to move a block away.

Actually, the Christmas tunes aren't so bad, but he plays "Santa Claus is Comin' To Town" every other song!
